Wellness Program

Our wellness program has something that allows everyone to take small steps to living healthier lives. Explore free programs that empower you to stay healthy, from wellness screenings, Wondr Health, Virta, and Baby Yourself!

Wellness Screenings

The Local Government Health Insurance Plan (Plan) offers free wellness screenings to help you stay on top of your number one priority: your health. We’ll come to your workplace or you can visit one of many pharmacies in Alabama, your physician, or a public health department to complete your annual wellness screening. With some quick and easy testing, you know where you stand with your cholesterol, blood pressure, glucose, and more. The wellness screening program is available to all participants and non-Medicare retirees who are enrolled in the Plan (Group 30000), along with their covered spouses. Wellness screenings performed at the workplace, pharmacy or public health department are free. Screenings may also be performed by a primary care physician or nurse practitioner, however, applicable copays will apply.
